The prefrontal cortex plays a fundamental role in cognitive processes and in the regulation of behavior and, thanks to the connections with different cortical areas, is the neuroanatomical substrate of executive functions: planning, implementation and conclusion of directed behaviors to a purpose through coordinated and strategic actions, integration and synthesis of information, organization, regulation of emotional behavior.
In addition, connections with limbic areas determine the processes of recognition and management of emotions. Executive functions are related to learning new experiences, planning, decision-making, learning new behaviors resulting from a sequence of actions.
HOW IT WORKS.
Thanks to wearable EEG technology we are able to record raw brain waves and turn them into user-friendly insights.
Then, through the Welch method, we translate the raw signal into the different brain waves.
DATA CLEANING MEANS ACCURACY.
Processing data is a fundamental part of the significance of data and its analysis. Often, devices can generate artifacts due to problems mainly of bluetooth transmission.
By cleaning the data we can eliminate and contain these abnormal values but if the recording is reported as unrepresentative we recommend to redo it with the right precautions regarding the cleaning of the device, its positioning, the transmission distance and that there are no sources of interference nearby.
The cleaning of outliers is essential in this type of data analysis to enhance the accuracy and reliability of results. Outliers, which deviate significantly from other data points, can skew analysis and lead to misleading conclusions. By identifying and handling these anomalies, we reduce data noise, ensuring the dataset more accurately reflects the underlying patterns.
