AI and neuroscience for athletes: Sporthype at the ATP Finals round table

Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center brought data scientists, doctors and neuroscientists together in Turin during the Nitto ATP Finals.

During the 2023 Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center hosted a round table on how analytics, AI and neuroscience can optimise athletic performance and reduce injury risk. Data scientists, doctors, physiotherapists and neuroscientists took part.

Our co-founder Andrea Filippo Rosso opened the discussion, explaining how Sporthype combines data from wearable devices, computer vision and coaches with artificial intelligence to compute indices of an athlete's physical and mental condition.

The session closed on a shared point: physical performance data and neuroscience need to be read together.
